Roll Out the Red Carpet

This morning, we rolled out the red carpet to welcome ten students who are new to KCA! We began this tradition as our way of showing each child that he/she is important and loved right from the moment he/she walks through our doors.

Psalm 139:14 is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. It reads, “I praise

You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I

know that full well.” Ephesians 2:10 extends this thought and reads, “For we are

God’s masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared

in advance for us to do.”

Too many children in our world today do not see themselves as a masterpiece, fearfully and wonderfully made. Welcoming our students with a red carpet is one way we can begin to change their views of themselves and align them with how God sees them.
