COVID-19 RESPONSE

Keystone Christian Academy was founded according to the philosophy that “one size does not fit all” in education and that parents need to have the option of a safe, loving environment where their children learn according to their unique abilities and gifts.  In these challenging times, we are also reminded of the trouble referred to in the words of Jesus in John 16:33:  “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”  During these uncertain times we especially need to continue to focus on the last section and remember that Jesus has also “overcome the world”.

We put our faith in God and His sovereignty for our future. KCA's mission and vision are: Students Thrive, Families Matter,  Educators Inspire, and Communities Benefit.  KCA’s mission and vision remain the beacons illuminating our students, parents, educators, and community.  Contained below are our core beliefs and how we are addressing them as we proceed forward:

Students Thrive
  • While our students are not in the building, learning continues.

  • Teachers have sent home 4 weeks’ worth of work for each student.  This went home the week before closures began.

  • Online learning platforms are being implemented if school closures extend beyond Easter break.

  • Laptops have been given to students in need so they have access to online learning.

  • Teachers are using video and Live platforms along with emails and phone calls to communicate with students and their families.Daily Facebook Live devotions and virtual spirit days are being offered to stay help students stay connected with their teachers and with each other.

Families Matter
  • Teachers are consistently checking in with our families through email and phone calls.

  • Tuition assistance is being put into place for families in need.

  • The staff is consistently praying for families and specific prayer requests are welcome and encouraged.

Educators Inspire
  • Teachers have been hard at work making sure that education continues.  They are learning to use a variety of on-line platforms including Zoom, Loom, Facebook Live, Google Hangouts, IXL, and Alpha Omega Ignitia.

  • Teachers are making themselves available throughout regular school day hours for questions.

Communities Benefit

Our Acts of Service week (March 30-April 3) makes suggestions for how families can serve the community from home.

We value your partnership with us as we proceed together on this challenging journey.  If you have any specific questions or would like any further information, please feel free to contact us.
